Car and Truck Lockout Service That Comes to You

Keys on the seat, door shut, engine maybe still running. It is one of the most common calls we take, and it is usually one of the more straightforward ones to solve.

We are a mobile service, so the work happens where the vehicle is sitting — a grocery lot, an apartment complex, a work site, or the side of a road where it is safe to stop.

Common vehicle lockout situations

Most lockouts fall into a handful of patterns. Knowing which one you are in helps us bring the right approach the first time.

Keys visible inside

The most common case. Keys are on a seat, in a cup holder, or in the ignition and the doors are locked.

Keys locked in the trunk

Trunk access varies quite a bit by vehicle. Tell us the make and model so we know what is realistic before we arrive.

Broken key in the door or ignition

A snapped key is a different job than a simple lockout. Extraction may be possible, and a replacement key may be a separate question.

Smart key not responding

Sometimes the vehicle is not locked out at all and the fob battery has died. We will talk through that possibility before dispatching a trip.

Child or pet inside

Call 911 first. Emergency responders handle immediate life-safety entry. Call us afterward for any key or lock work that remains.

Fleet and work vehicles

Work trucks and company vehicles at a job site. Have the person authorized to approve the work available when we arrive.

Locked out of your vehicle?

No dispatch center. No call-center middleman. Speak directly with the technician who will come to you.

For emergency service, calling is the fastest option.

What to expect when you call

What to expect when you call

A short, specific phone call saves everyone time. Here is what we will ask and why it matters.

  • Your exact location, including the lot, building, or nearest cross street.

  • The year, make, and model of the vehicle.

  • Whether the vehicle is locked with keys inside, or there is no key at all.

  • Whether the vehicle is in a safe place for a technician to work.

  • Proof that you are authorized to access the vehicle, which we do check.

What lockout service does and does not include

Opening a locked vehicle and creating a new key are two different jobs, and it is worth separating them clearly.

If you still have a key somewhere, a lockout is usually simple. If every key is gone, the conversation shifts to key replacement, and that has real vehicle limitations.

  • Automotive key work is primarily for non-German vehicles.

  • VATS systems are not serviced.

  • Supported model years are primarily 1999 through 2022.

  • Eligibility depends on the year, make, model, key system, and whether any working key remains.

  • Lockout eligibility and key-programming eligibility are separate questions.

  • Every automotive key job is confirmed by phone before it is scheduled.

Car lockout questions

Can you open my car without damaging it?

Non-destructive entry is always the goal, and it is what we attempt first. We will tell you honestly if a particular vehicle or situation makes that unlikely before we start rather than after.

Do you need proof the car is mine?

Yes. We ask for identification and a reasonable connection to the vehicle. It protects you as much as it protects us, and any legitimate locksmith will ask.

My key is in the trunk. Is that harder?

Often yes. Trunk access depends heavily on the vehicle and whether there is pass-through from the cabin. Give us the year, make, and model on the phone and we will tell you what is realistic.

Can you make a key if mine is truly lost?

Sometimes, but not for every vehicle. Key work is primarily for non-German vehicles, mainly model years 1999 through 2022, and we do not service VATS systems. Call with the details and we will confirm before scheduling.

Do you come out to highways?

Only where it is safe and legal to work. If your vehicle is in a dangerous position, contact roadside assistance or law enforcement to get it moved somewhere safe first.
